- Only SAFBAF Plus+ members may enter and take part.
- What are you fishing for? National ProAm 2010 at Hartebeespoort
dam. The clubs submit the results and we capture your attendance
and money winnings on our database. These results are posted
on our member only website. There are four ways to get to
the final PROAM event.
- The Top 50 Money Winners PRO (regardless of the no
of competitions entered)
- Top 5 Event Money Earnings 50 places PRO
- Top Attendance (Amateur) 50 places
- Wildcard Draw (Amateur ) 50 places.
At the finals the PRO’s and the Amateurs compete separately.
At the final we will pair an Amateur and a Pro together
on a peg. Pro Prize money is R100 000 and Amateur is
R10 000.
- Clubs are invited to join SAFBAF Plus+ free of charge
and then they host PROAMs as part of their normal club comps.
I.e. club members take part in their club comp but can now
also enter at the same event for the PROAM and win money.
The clubs will host at least one ProAm event every month
at their club waters for 7 months of the year. These ProAm
events may coincide with normal club competitions or other
SAFBAF events. In general normal SAFBAF bank angling rules
will apply but clubs may make addendums to these rules to
suit local condition or circumstances. The club will open
its waters for the day of the ProAm events to all SAFBAF
Plus+ members at an additional fee R50.00 for non club members
which the club will retain and use to further development
of the facilities or their waters. The entry fee of R100
will apply plus whatever is charged in addition for access
to the water.
- This R100 is to be fully used for the prize money and
the prize money shall be split where there are more than
30 anglers taking part with prizes up to 10th place to be
paid out(see example 1) and where there are 30 and less
anglers prizes up to 5th place to be paid out (see example
2). Prizes rounded to the closest R10.00

5. Each club shall submit its result of a ProAm to SAFBAF
Plus+ within 72 hours of the event so that the data may
be uploaded and the angler may view the results on the website.
6. All PROAM results from 1 Sept 2009 to end March 2010
will apply
Note:
SAFBAF Plus+ Anglers may now play the game and start fishing
other club comps to build up their winnings. They may decide
to fish bigger events with bigger prize money or they could
fish smaller events with a better chance of winning. Clubs
should consider the benefit to arrange fishing dates so that
anglers can fish more than one event per month
Remember Club that join SAFBAF Plus+ will get:-
- Promote the sport of bank angling to the benefit of the
angling industry and in particular to affiliated parties.
- List the club on the SAFBAF Plus+ website and refer all
anglers to their closest club.
- Make available promotional material to the clubs to use
in promoting the club in their regional area.
- Request clubs to host the organized workshops.
- Promote and advertise the club structure where possible
(magazines, television, radio, retailers)
- Promote the interaction between SAFBAF Plus+ retailers
and clubs.
